Deleted message content in the history
The organization can keep the original text of messages deleted on WhatsApp visible in the conversation history. They stay on the timeline, labeled as deleted and faded, so they are not mixed up with the rest.
What is it for?
- Audit the conversation even when someone deletes the message in the original app
- Keep the context without losing the removed line
- Leave the choice with the company: each organization turns the option on or off
How to use it
- In Settings → Inbox preferences, find Show deleted message content
- Turn the toggle on and save
- Open the conversation: messages deleted on WhatsApp show the original text, faded, with a deleted label
With the option off (default), the history only shows the “Message deleted” placeholder. Messages hard-deleted in Interflow (bulk delete) still leave the list.
