v2026.5.1
Release date: May 22, 2026
✨ New Features
Closing WhatsApp group conversations
WhatsApp groups now use the same closing flow already available for individual conversations. You can mark a group as closed, remove it from the unread list, and keep only conversations that truly need attention in the spotlight.
What is it for?
- Organize the service queue by removing groups that no longer need follow-up
- Prevent groups from staying unread indefinitely
- Record the closure reason and summary, just like individual conversations
- Reopen the group when follow-up needs to resume
How to use?
- Open the WhatsApp group in the conversation list
- If the group is pending, click Attend to start follow-up
- With the conversation in progress, click the green Resolve button (✓) at the top of the chat
- On mobile: ⋮ menu → Resolve
- In the modal, select the closure type, fill in the summary, and confirm
- The group will be closed and removed from the unread list
Who can close?
- The assigned agent for the group
- Members with permission to edit group information (admins, moderators, or members authorized in group settings)
- For groups with no assigned owner: organization admins and owners
After closing
- The conversation shows "This conversation has been closed", with date and time
- The summary remains visible in the conversation history
- To resume, use the Reopen Chat button
🎯 Benefits
- ✅ Cleaner conversation list focused on real pending items
- ✅ Same closing flow for individual chats and groups
- ✅ History and summary preserved for future reference
- ✅ Better team productivity when managing WhatsApp groups
