New Features

Protection against WhatsApp new-contact blocks (WAHA)

WhatsApp can restrict first contact (a number that channel has not talked to yet). The session stays connected. Interflow now detects that restriction, shows it on screen, and stops only cold outreach — existing conversations keep working.

Guide: WhatsApp WAHA — New-contact restriction

Campaigns: Bulk messages

What is it for?

  • Avoid making the block worse with more first contacts
  • Keep the team serving people who already talked, even while the restriction is active
  • Pause a WAHA campaign immediately instead of retrying
  • Count first contacts in the day when several people share the same number (optional cap)

How to use?

  1. On the WAHA channel card, Connected stays green. If WhatsApp restricts new numbers, an amber badge appears
  2. Open the channel: the banner shows until when the restriction applies and asks you not to restart or disconnect the session
  3. In Bulk messages with a WAHA channel and message mode, leave Send only to existing conversations checked (default)
  4. If several people share the same number, in Channels → WAHA channel you can set an extra daily limit (0 turns it off; WhatsApp still sets the real cap)

When the restriction ends, the campaign does not resume by itself — you need to start it again.

Benefits

  • Lower risk of making a WhatsApp block worse
  • Warm conversations keep flowing during the restriction
  • Campaigns stop instead of burning the queue
  • Optional daily count when the team cannot track volume
