Audio in internal chats

You can now record and send audio directly in internal chats (direct messages and groups), using the same microphone control as WhatsApp channels.

What is it for?

  • Communicate with the team faster and more practically
  • Share instructions or context without typing long messages
  • Keep internal support aligned with the team's pace

How to use?

  1. Open a direct chat or internal group (Internal Chats page or floating widget)
  2. In the message field, tap the microphone icon
  3. Record the audio, confirm, and send

Mark as read / unread in internal chats

On the Internal Chats list, each conversation now has a menu to mark as read or mark as unread, matching the attendance list pattern. Opening an internal chat also marks pending messages as read automatically.

What is it for?

  • Clear unread badges without having to reply
  • Highlight conversations that still need attention
  • Avoid confusion about what the team has already seen

How to use?

  1. In Internal Chats, open the menu next to the conversation
  2. Choose Mark as read or Mark as unread
  3. Or simply open the chat — the pending badge is cleared when you view it

“Seen” status in internal direct chats

In direct chats (DM) between agents, opening the conversation marks received messages as read/seen for the sender (blue ticks), just like external channels.

What is it for?

  • Know whether a teammate has already seen the message
  • Reduce unnecessary follow-ups within the team
  • Bring WhatsApp-like read clarity to internal chat

🐛 Bug Fixes

“Mark as unread” undone while the chat is open

Fixed a behavior where marking an internal conversation as unread was immediately reverted to read because the chat was open. Auto mark-as-read now runs only when opening the conversation.

Organization settings blocked for agents

Agents without access to the Settings module received a Forbidden error when loading preferences used in chat (signature, hide contact info, quick WhatsApp button, etc.), causing repeated requests on every message or update. GET for these settings is now allowed for any authenticated organization member; editing remains restricted to the Settings module.
