Notifications per WhatsApp group
Each user can turn notifications on or off for a WhatsApp group — only for themselves. The default stays on. Busy groups stop interrupting work without disappearing from the list.

What is it for?
- Mute noisy groups without losing the history
- Keep seeing messages and the unread badge
- Get alerts only for the groups that matter
How to use?
- Open the WhatsApp group in Chats
- Click the group name to open Edit Group
- At the top, use the Notifications switch
- Or, in the list, open the ⋮ menu and choose Mute notifications / Unmute notifications
What changes
Turning it off stops push and sound. The conversation, the list, and unread counts stay. The choice is yours only — teammates still get the alert.
