WhatsApp Templates (Official API)
Manage Meta templates to start conversations outside the 24h window, bulk sends, and new chats.
Access
Channels → WhatsApp Business (Official) → Templates
Sync status from Meta. Only APPROVED templates can be used in chat and bulk messages.

Nickname
On the template form, Nickname or description is optional. It shows on cards, in search, and in the lists where the team picks a model — including when someone types / in the official-channel chat.
The official Meta name and the text sent to the customer do not change. Saving only the nickname does not send the template back for approval, and syncing does not erase that text.
